There is a fork in the road.
It is time to make a choice. Do we continue to follow the same course? The one we know best. Or do we make
an abrupt turn? And head in a direction that none of us have driven. The Electric Car is here.
Does that make you nervous?
Or does that excite you? Maybe you believe the world can do better. That we've outgrown a technology that has taken us from point A to point B for more than one hundred years, but is destined to take our children nowhere.
Are you skeptical?
The Electric Car is real. People are driving it every day in Southern California and Arizona. Now it is coming to Northern California. And will continue across America. It's not a passing fad. It's not going away.
Are you interested?
The Electric Car has no starter. No pistons. No valves. No crankshaft. No sparks and explosions. No exhaust pipe
or muffler. All you hear is the whir of an AC motor. The roll of tires on pavement. And the wind.
There is also no first gear. Or second, third, fourth and fifth gear. Because there is no transmission. Acceleration is instantaneous. No hesitation or jerking. O to 60 in less than 9 seconds. Speed is then unencumbered by drag. Since the EV1 has a drag coefficient of 0.19. Twenty-five percent less than any other production car.
Everything will be different.
This is a new road, but one we can see down. It is not a dead end. It is the right way to go. Hope and opportunity lie ahead. It's time for you to make a decision. There is a fork in the road.
Which way will you go?
The electric car is here.
